Hi there. My name is Newt and here is a little bit about me.
I grew up in a small town on the eastern plains of Colorado, called Limon, until I made Northern Colorado my home in 1994. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts in 1998 from the University of Northern Colorado. Throughout my professional years, I got the opportunity to become a small business owner of a local pub in Greeley in 2011 that we named Wyler's Pub & Grill. We ran a successful business for 13 1/2 year until we sold that business May 1st, 2025. We were so fortunate to have a staff to help manage the day-to-day operations that gave me the opportunity to be able to pursue building my Real Estate career.
All through this, I was lucky enough to find "the one", in Christy, and marry her in 2014. She has been an amazing part of my life and, together, we accomplish so much more than we ever would apart. In 2015, I became a licensed real estate agent in Colorado and Wyoming. That same year, Christy and I built our home in Loveland, Colorado (which happened to be my first deal as a new Realtor), so I got to practice on us first. And, in being one of the few Realtors with the distinction of being licensed in both Colorado and Wyoming, I am able to help clients buy and sell real estate on either side of the border.
In October 2018 I was asked by company to become the Managing Broker for the Northern Colorado office of Your Castle Real Estate. This new responsibility over the office and agents allowed me to grow the company and my business. Further, it lets you know that you are working with a trusted and responsible Realtor for your home buying and selling needs. In 2022, I became an investor acquiring my first rental property, a 4-plex in the Kansas City market and I have enjoyed working with many investors to help build their portfolios over the years. Most recently, in 2026, I became the Responsible Broker for Your Castle Real Estate operations in Wyoming.
In February 2024, I became part of the DUAL agent team through American Liberty Mortgage (NMLS #1962) by receiving my Mortgage Loan Origination license (NMLS #2090689). This allows me to be not only your real estate agent, but also your mortgage lender in Colorado. This is a great benefit to my clients to ensure a seamless process for their home purchase.
In 2016, we added Lucy, a golden doodle puppy to our family. And in 2018 we added Lexi,our Labradoodle puppy who was in need of a home. The two pups are like long lost sisters and so happy to have each other.
